Port of Spain, Trinidad – This week served as a vital building block for the future of The Brydens Group as newly appointed Group CEO, John De Silva, officially began his tenure. His first day was defined by a clear priority: establishing a direct connection with the people who power the organization.
In a momentous occasion for the Group, a high-impact Virtual Q&A session was held, marking the first time that all regional subsidiaries were invited to a single, unified digital forum. This historic session allowed staff from every corner of the Group’s diverse operations to engage directly with the new leadership and gain insight into our collective road ahead.
The session served as a foundational piece for the Group’s trajectory within the wider Seprod family. Richard Pandohie, CEO of Seprod, joined the discussion to outline the broader regional strategy, highlighting how the synergy between Brydens and Seprod is “Building for the Future” by strengthening the Group’s footprint across the Caribbean.
Moderated by Group Corporate Affairs Manager, Janine Rajah-Medford, the virtual session moved through a range of critical topics, ensuring that staff concerns and curiosities were addressed in real-time.
The panel represented the core pillars of the Group’s strategic foundation:
Executing a meeting of this magnitude across multiple territories requires technical precision. The Group extends a special thank you to the I.T. Team for their tireless efforts. Led by Bernard Rocke and supported by Gerard Tang Yuk and Michael Ransome, the team worked diligently behind the scenes to ensure technical stability and a smooth experience for all regional attendees. Their expertise was a key building block in making this first-of-its-kind digital “meet and greet” a resounding success.
This Virtual Q&A served as a powerful reminder that while the Group is expanding its reach, its true strength lies in its regional unity. By leveraging technology to bridge geographical gaps, the leadership team ensured that every employee—from every subsidiary—felt part of this new chapter from day one.
As John De Silva noted during the session, the goal isn’t just to grow, but to grow together. This day of dialogue has set the tone for the open communication and strategic alignment that will define the future of The Brydens Group.
